Sportona is a digital platform designed to connect local sports coaches, athletes, and communities by simplifying the discovery and management of sports activities. We are present in few English speaking countries and our initial market acquisition in Colombo region sounds promising.

Role Description

This is a part-time role for a Sales and Marketing Specialist. The specialist will drive user acquisition and engagement by promoting Sportona to coaches, sports organizations, and community groups through digital and direct outreach. Day-to-day activities include planning and executing marketing campaigns, identifying and nurturing sales leads, managing the sales pipeline, and providing responsive customer support.

The role also involves gathering feedback from users, collaborating with product and marketing teams to refine messaging, and delivering training or demos to new partners and clients. The specialist will be expected to analyse campaign performance, adjust strategies, and contribute to the overall growth of the platform.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage users, partners, and stakeholders effectively.
- Proven abilities in Sales and Sales Management to generate leads, close deals, and manage pipelines.




- Experience in Training or delivering presentations and product demos to clients or internal teams.
- Knowledge of digital marketing concepts and tools, especially in app-based or consumer-facing products.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in speaking to Small Businesses, Owners and seeing problems from their perspective.
- Interest or experience in sports, fitness, or community engagement is highly beneficial.
- Relevant education or skilled experience in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field.

Opportunity

- Commitment: It will initially start with 20 hours a week project for 3 months, and then will move to a permanent position.
- Salary: LKR 45,000.00 Per month for the part time opportunity.
- Training: We believe, attitude is the key and training can be provided.
- Location: Primarily targeting the Colombo Coaches only.
