Role Description The Principal in the School of Education at RIMT University will provide academic and administrative leadership, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and research within the school. This full-time, on-site role based in Punjab, India involves overseeing curriculum development, faculty mentoring, student support, and continuous improvement of academic standards. The Principal will coordinate accreditation and regulatory compliance activities, lead strategic planning for the School of Education, and foster partnerships with schools, education boards, and other stakeholders.





Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising academic operations, managing budgets and resources, promoting professional development initiatives, and encouraging innovation in pedagogy and assessment. The role also requires active participation in university governance, community outreach, and the promotion of an inclusive, learner-centered environment.

Qualifications

- Strong leadership, people management, and decision-making skills for guiding faculty, staff, and learners.
- Academic expertise in Education, Educational Leadership, or related fields, with a record of teaching and research excellence.
- Experience in curriculum design, pedagogical innovation, and quality assurance in higher education.
- Skills in strategic planning, institutional development, and effective resource and budget management.
- Ability to build partnerships with schools, regulatory bodies, and community organizations, and to support industry-ready skill development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to inclusive, ethical, and learner-centered practices, and to fostering entrepreneurship and global outlook among students.
- Relevant advanced degree (As per NCTE Norms) and prior experience in an academic leadership role such as Principal, Dean, or Head of Department.
