Role: MTS 2 - Power Electronics

Technical Skills Required

Requirements

- 6+ years of experience in power electronics design, with a focus on DC-DC converters, AC-DC power supplies, and power management solutions.
- Expertise in power electronics topologies such as buck, boost, flyback, and resonant converters, and high-frequency magnetics design.
- Strong knowledge of component selection, thermal management techniques, and power semiconductor devices (e.g., MOSFETs, IGBTs).
- Experience and strong knowledge on DC converter topologies for mid to high power density like LLC resonant converters, PSFB etc
- Worked on power factor optimization and techniques for better efficiency.
- Experience in magnetics design for power converters for low and high frequency inductors & transformers
- Proficiency in ECAD software for schematic design, PCB layout, and BOM management (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD).
- Strong grasp of EMI/EMC design practices, mitigation techniques, and testing standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:





- Design and develop power electronic circuits and systems, including converters, inverters, and power management solutions for automotive applications.
- Create schematics and perform PCB layouts using industry-standard tools, focusing on power density, thermal management, and component placement for optimal performance.
- Conduct simulation, testing, and validation of power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with performance requirements, reliability standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct EMI/EMC testing and mitigation to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Document design methodologies, technical specifications, and test procedures, ensuring explicit and traceable engineering processes.

Selection Process :

- One technical round followed by an assignment generally 1-2 problem scenarios with 3-4 days timeline
- Assignment walkthrough session followed by a second technical round
- HR Round
