This is an opportunity for engineers who want to help build foundational technology at an early stage rather than contribute to an already mature product.

We're looking for engineers who enjoy solving difficult technical problems, experimenting with AI systems, and building reliable software that people use every day.

You'll work across AI models, document workflows, structured editing, collaboration systems, and application infrastructure taking ideas from research to production.

What you will do

1. Design and build AI workflows across office apps like docs, sheets, slides, mail and tasks.
2. Investigate models, retrieval, memory and execution, or build structured editing, collaboration.
3. Compare approaches through reproducible experiments; measure quality, latency, cost and failure behaviour.
4. Build reliable APIs and application logic with validation, permissions, approval controls, retries, audit trails and recovery.
5. Work with product and engineering to ship features, debug real problems and improve usability.

What we are looking for

1. Strong programming in Javascript; solid understanding of APIs, databases, data structures, debugging and testing.
2. Hands on depth in either LLM applications and evaluation, or complex web applications such as editors, spreadsheets or collaborative tools.
3.



Evidence of research thinking: a well investigated project, experiments, open source contributions or a technical writeup. A research degree is optional.
4. Ability to explain tradeoffs, question assumptions and take ownership from problem discovery through delivery.

Useful additional experience

- React and Node.js; retrieval and agent systems; document formats; spreadsheet engines; real time collaboration; distributed systems; observability; or evaluating AI output quality.

Compensation

- First 3–4 months survival+alignment compensation: INR 30,000–50,000 per month
- Planned progression: Target compensation of INR 12,00,000–20,00,000 per year as the company reaches defined business and funding milestones, subject to company performance and offer terms.
- Equity: Early team members may be eligible for a meaningful ESOP grant from the company's early engineering equity pool, subject to board approval, vesting terms, and individual grant agreements.
