Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Sales Executive role based in North Guwahati.

The Field Sales

Executive will identify and onboard merchants, promote Paytm’s payment solutions, and build strong relationships to drive usage and retention.

Responsibilities include visiting merchants in the field, explaining product features and benefits, assisting with registration and activation, and providing basic training on how to use Paytm services. The role also involves gathering market insights, tracking daily sales activities, meeting assigned targets,



and coordinating with the internal team to resolve merchant issues. The position requires proactive engagement, consistent follow-up, and a focus on delivering a smooth, reliable experience to merchants in the assigned territory.

Qualifications

- Proven ability in field sales, business development, or merchant acquisition in a quick-paced environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
- Comfort with using smartphones, basic apps, and digital payment solutions; ability to quickly learn Paytm products and processes.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with local and regional teams.
- Good knowledge of the local market in and around North Guwahati; prior experience in fintech or financial services is an advantage.
- Minimum educational qualification typically at the higher secondary or graduate level; willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
