Role Description The Die Design Head - HPDC | GDC | LPDC role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune District. The role involves leading the design and development of dies for High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC), Gravity Die Casting (GDC), and Low Pressure Die Casting (LPDC) components, ensuring manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

The Die Design

Head will oversee design teams, allocate projects, review and approve design concepts,



and ensure that designs comply with customer specifications, safety standards, and internal guidelines. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with cross-functional teams (production, quality, tooling, and R&D;), managing design iterations, conducting design reviews, and resolving technical issues related to die performance and casting quality. The position also includes vendor and customer interaction for technical discussions, continuous improvement of die design processes, and mentoring team members in best practices and new technologies in casting design.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Design Management skills, including team leadership, project planning, and cross-functional coordination.
- Candidates should possess Visual Design and Product Design skills to create functional, precise, and optimized die designs for HPDC, GDC, and LPDC applications.
- Candidates should possess Branding and Interior Design awareness to align product aesthetics and functional requirements with OEM expectations, where relevant.
- Candidates should possess expertise in die casting design principles, CAD/CAE tools (such as CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or similar), and simulation software for casting and tooling analysis.
- Candidates should possess a strong understanding of automotive components, materials used in die casting, manufacturing processes, and quality standards (e.g., APQP, PPAP, ISO/TS or IATF standards).
