Description

We are seeking an creative and strategic Director, Learning Product Development to lead a global organization of learning designers and drive the development of scalable, AI-led learning solutions.

In this leadership role, you will define and execute learning strategies aligned with product roadmaps and release cycles, delivering high-quality learning experiences for customers, partners, and employees. You will oversee learning solutions across multiple modalities, including self-paced learning, microlearning, blended learning, and instructor-led training (ILT).

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in instructional design and learning product development with strong organizational leadership, AI transformation, portfolio management, data-driven decision-making, and executive stakeholder engagement.

A Typical Day In The Life Includes

- Organizational Leadership: Lead, develop, and inspire a global organization of learning designers. Drive workforce and capacity planning, succession planning, hiring, mentoring, retention, and accountability for organizational outcomes.
- Learning Strategy &
- Execution: Define and execute comprehensive learning roadmaps aligned with product strategies, industry needs, and release cycles, partnering closely with Learning Portfolio teams and key stakeholders.
- Delivery Excellence &
- Governance: Establish standards, governance, and best practices for instructional design, content quality, and release readiness. Ensure learning solutions are delivered on time, at scale, and to a consistently high standard.
- AI Strategy &
- Transformation: Develop and drive the AI strategy for learning and instructional design. Identify opportunities to use AI to improve personalization, engagement, development speed, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Learning Technology: Evaluate and guide the adoption of AI-enabled learning and authoring platforms, including technologies such as Copilot, Claude, Rise, Storyline, and AI-enabled LMS solutions.
- Transformation &
- Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous learning, and AI adoption while leading the organization through ongoing transformation.
- Data-Driven Performance: Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks for learning impact, quality, adoption, efficiency, and business outcomes. Use learner and business insights to continuously improve learning offerings.
- Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong partnerships with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Services, Sales, and Partner organizations. Provide clear visibility into progress, risks, resources, and business impact.
- Customer &
- Training Needs: Ensure learning strategies address the technical and professional development needs of customers, partners, and employees, incorporating feedback into continuous improvement.




- Localization &
- Global Delivery: Define strategies for localization and multilingual learning, including translation workflows, quality standards, cross-functional coordination, and measurement of business impact.

Basic Qualifications

- 15+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, learning product development, or a related field, with significant leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading a curriculum or learning development organization at scale.
- Proven experience managing large, high-volume curriculum portfolios across multiple products and aligning learning content with product release cycles.
- Strong experience leading, developing, and retaining high-performing teams, including succession and capacity planning.
- Experience developing and implementing an AI strategy for learning, including evaluating and deploying AI-powered learning platforms and tools.
- Strong knowledge of modern instructional design methodologies and learning modalities, including self-paced, microlearning, blended learning, and ILT.
- Experience with learning development technologies such as Articulate Rise and Storyline, along with AI-enabled learning tools and platforms.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and Jira for workflow and resource management.
- Bachelor's degree in Learning &
- Development, Educational Technology, Organizational Leadership, Human Performance Technology, or a related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Flexibility to collaborate with global teams during US business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of senior leadership or director-level experience within learning, curriculum, or learning product development.
- Demonstrated career progression from instructional design into people and organizational leadership.
- Experience leading global and cross-cultural learning organizations.
- Proven success managing extensive course catalogs and learning portfolios across multiple product lines.
- Experience leading localization and multilingual learning initiatives at scale.
- Experience driving AI-led transformation within instructional design, learning content development, or learning operations.
- Experience establishing learning KPIs and using data to measure quality, adoption, efficiency, and business impact.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.




- Active involvement with learning and technology industry organizations such as CEdMA and/or TSIA.
- Strong ability to simplify complex product and technical concepts into engaging and accessible learning experiences.
