Job Title: Cybersecurity Business Analyst (Cybersecurity BA)

Location: Hyderabad

Experience: 5+ Years

Job Summary The Senior Business Analyst will work within the Cybersecurity Operations and Intelligence team to drive delivery of a Target Operating Model (TOM), support the strategic direction of Cyber Operations, and analyse, estimate, design, document, test, and implement new system development, as well as assist in the delivery of system enhancements.

Primary Responsibilities

- Work with key business stakeholders to define the Operations TOM and clear business outcomes.
- Capture business/technical requirements and ensure these remain traceable throughout the delivery of the initiative.
- Ensure effective quality assurance of builds against business requirements.
- Develop and support business case submissions and expected business value.
- Attend various governance forums and provide programme insights to the ExCo and Steering Committee.
- Report to business leaders and stakeholders.
- Articulate and capture risks and dependencies between programmes, functions, and teams.
- Support junior Business Analysts.

Standard Responsibilities
- Define project requirements.
- Produce and deliver user test plans with explicit alignment to business/technical requirements.
- Manage required HSBC governance processes to support system delivery and operational processes (e.g., External Hosting Committees and Data Visa).
- Produce updated operational processes to support new features and tooling.
- Contribute to and agree on business transition plans, including handover criteria, ensuring all delivery expectations are met before handing over final activities to BAU.

Qualifications & Experience Experience / Technical Skill Set Required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business/Solution Analyst, gathering requirements and defining IT solutions within projects.
- Experience producing Target Operating Models (TOMs) and strategies.
- Strong experience in writing Use Cases, User Stories, and Acceptance Test scenarios, OR strong usability requirements analysis and process mapping.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (ideally Scrum or SAFe).
- Strong analytical, documentation, and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to take complete ownership of the end-to-end delivery of complex functional changes.
- Ability to maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders.
- Ability to remove blockers and create pathways during times of uncertainty to ensure resilience.
- Strong experience with MS Office (typically Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint) and JIRA/Confluence or similar tools.
- Experience in technology delivery within a complex organisation.
- Experience in business requirements definition and testing.
- Experience in delivering business process documentation.
- Excellent planning and reporting skills.

Soft Skills Required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities and extreme flexibility in managing workloads.
- Ability to support aggressive delivery timelines without compromising on quality.
- Ability to work with different stakeholders (HSBC vendors, Project Manager, ITSO and ITSO Delegates, and Support teams) and resolve all technical queries in a timely manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to facilitate escalations to senior management.
