Job Title: Costing & Pricing Lead The Costing & Pricing Lead makes sure every order MJ Global accepts makes margin as per company profitability targets. The role owns the true cost of every carton produced. It also turns that cost into quotes that protect margin and keep the company competitive.

Product costing

- Build and maintain cost sheets for corrugated boxes, mono-cartons, bags, rigid boxes and all other paper packaging SKUs produced at the company.
- Model each cost element: paper and board by GSM, BF and grade, flute take-up, starch, ink, coating, plates, dies, job-work, power, labour, machine hours, freight and overheads.
- Set standard wastage and yield norms by machine and process; update them from actual plant data.
- Allocate plant & corporate overheads and conversion cost per tonne and per machine-hour on a consistent basis across all four plants.

Pricing and quotations

- Turn cost sheets into price quotes for every recent enquiry, RFQ and tender, within agreed turnaround times.
- Recommend prices using target margin, volume, customer value, competitor benchmarks and payment terms.
- Work on re-engineering product specifications to improve yield.
- Run the quote approval matrix,



escalating below-floor pricing to the CFO.
- Administer paper-price pass-through clauses and periodic price revisions with key accounts.
- Support Sales in customer negotiations with clear cost breakdowns, especially for open-book customers.

Profitability analysis

- Compare estimated against actual cost for every major order; explain variances in board, wastage and conversion.
- Publish monthly customer-wise and SKU-wise contribution reports, flagging loss-making business.
- Track raw material price movements, including imported board and paper, and model their margin impact.
- Provide cost inputs for make-or-buy, job-work and capex decisions.

Systems and controls

- Maintain the costing master in the ERP: bill of materials, routings, machine rates and standard costs.
- Reconcile costing records with financial accounts and physical inventory every month.
- Document costing policies so any plant applies the same method.
- Lead and train the costing team.

Must have

- CMA (ICWA) or CA; an engineering degree with strong costing experience will also be considered.
- 8–12 years in product costing, with 3+ years leading costing or pricing.
- Hands-on experience in packaging or manufacturing industry.
- Advanced Excel and experience with an ERP costing module.
- Exposure to multi-plant operations and export pricing.
- Experience setting up a costing system from scratch.

- Direct reporting to the CFO and visible impact on company margins.

Compensation:

Rs. 12 to Rs. 18 lacs Annual CTC (based on experience & profile)

Hours: 9:30 / 10 AM - 6:30 / 7 PM, Monday - Saturday
