Kalypso Media Masti LLP is looking for a creative, research-driven, and commercially aware Content Development & IP Executive to identify promising stories and concepts, evaluate scripts, explore original IP opportunities, and help determine which concepts to develop, acquire, and take into production across animation, AI, and hybrid formats.

About UsWe are a media and animation production house working at the intersection of storytelling, 2D/3D animation, AI-powered content creation, and digital media.

We create reels, videos, short films, and episodic micro-dramas for digital platforms, using animation, AI, and hybrid production workflows that combine animation with AI. Our work also spans original IP development, character-led storytelling, digital advertisements, brand promotions, and corporate films.

We are expanding into hybrid AI, 2D, and 3D animation production for brands and corporates, bringing campaigns, products, mascots, and brand universes to life through engaging, scalable, and high-volume video content.

Our focus is on creating compelling, audience-relevant content and developing original IPs that can grow into recognisable content properties for Indian and global audiences.

We also explore creative collaborations and co-productions with writers, creators,



and other production houses while developing content for potential partnerships with digital platforms, OTT platforms, and other distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and evaluate promising story ideas, scripts, and IP concepts for reels, videos, short films, and episodic micro-dramas across animation, AI, and hybrid formats.
- Research market trends, digital media platforms, social media conversations, audience preferences, and emerging content formats to identify high-potential storytelling opportunities.
- Recommend which concepts, stories, and scripts to develop, acquire, or take into production based on creative merit, audience appeal, market demand, and commercial potential.
- Coordinate with contractual, freelance, and in-house writers, providing story ideas and concepts for development into scripts and original IPs.
- Explore content opportunities across genres such as comedy, drama, horror, mythology, fantasy, kids’ entertainment, and other relevant categories that can be effectively adapted into animated, AI-generated, or hybrid content.
- Identify opportunities to create original IPs, distinctive characters, and story universes that can support recurring content, multiple episodes, and long-term audience engagement.
- Identify writers, scriptwriters, and creative collaborators to develop selected ideas and projects.
- Evaluate scripts and concepts for storytelling quality, hooks, pacing, audience retention, episodic potential,



and suitability for different digital platforms.
- Support the preparation of pitch decks, content proposals, and project presentations for digital platforms, OTT platforms, brands, and potential co-production partners.
- Identify opportunities for IP expansion, brand integration, partnerships, and monetisation across digital media.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in content development, scriptwriting, creative research, or IP development within the media and entertainment industry, preferably with an animation production house or studio.
- A robust understanding of digital content formats, including reels, videos, short films, and episodic micro-dramas.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with a strong understanding of digital media trends, audience behaviour, and emerging content opportunities.
- A keen eye for compelling stories, memorable characters, engaging hooks, and concepts with strong audience appeal or commercial potential.
- An understanding of story structure, character development, pacing, cliffhangers, and episodic narratives.
- Familiarity with animation, AI-generated content, and hybrid production workflows will be a strong advantage.
- The ability to assess creative ideas from both storytelling and commercial perspectives.
- Knowledge of IP rights, script acquisition, licensing, and content monetisation will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, along with a proactive, curious, and creative mindset.
