Role Description The Business Development Intern role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. In this role, the intern will identify potential partner merchants, support lead generation activities, and assist in onboarding new local businesses onto the platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market research, gathering insights about local consumer behavior, and helping design outreach strategies to attract and retain merchants.

The intern will communicate with business owners, support basic customer service interactions,



and collaborate with the team to refine LocalDealz’s growth initiatives. This position offers exposure to business development processes, local market dynamics, and community-focused marketing.

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Market Research capabilities to assess local business opportunities and trends.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact with merchants, customers, and internal team members.
- Candidates should possess Lead Generation skills to identify, approach, and follow up with prospective local business partners.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to address merchant and customer queries with professionalism and empathy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a rapid-paced, community-focused environment.
- Proficiency with basic office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, email) and familiarity with digital platforms.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
