Function: Factory Automation / OT / Manufacturing IT Industry: Solar Cell Manufacturing Level: Engineer Job Purpose Responsible for ensuring reliable operation and integration of AGV, factory automation, material-handling systems and OT networks supporting continuous in-line Solar Cell manufacturing. The position will coordinate closely with Production, Equipment, Automation, MES, Network and AGV OEM teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Support AGV’s and automated material-movement systems used across the Solar Cell production line.
• Coordinate with Production, Process, Equipment, Automation, MES, Network and AGV OEM teams.
• Ensure uninterrupted automated movement of wafer/cell carriers, cassettes, trays or other WIP material between production processes, wherever AGV’s systems are deployed.
• Monitor AGV’s status, routes, traffic, alarms, charging status and system availability.
• Troubleshoot AGV’s communication, navigation, route, interface and connectivity issues.
• Support integration of AGV’s systems with MES and production scheduling/material-dispatch systems.
• Ensure correct material movement based on production routing and MES instructions.
• Support interfaces between MES, AGV fleet-management systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot OT network connectivity for production equipment, PLCs, HMIs, AGVs, industrial PCs and other automation devices.
• Support industrial Ethernet and wireless infrastructure used for factory automation.
• Coordinate configuration/troubleshooting of switches, VLANs,



IP addresses and industrial Wi-Fi connectivity with the Network team.
• Monitor network latency, packet loss and communication availability for production-critical systems.
• Coordinate with equipment OEMs for machine communication and MES connectivity issues.
• Support current AGV commissioning, route configuration and integration during production-line expansion.
• Participate in equipment installation and commissioning to ensure OT network and MES connectivity readiness.
• Conduct RCA for recurring AGV, automation and network failures affecting production.
• Maintain OT asset lists, IP lists, network diagrams, AGV configurations and troubleshooting documentation.
• Follow OT cybersecurity requirements, including network segmentation and controlled access to manufacturing equipment.
• Track system uptime and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce material-handling and automation-related production losses.
• Provide shift/on-call support for production-critical automation and OT network issues as required. Tech/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Science, IT or related discipline.

Experience:
3–6 years in AGV, factory automation or OT networking, preferably in Solar Cell, Semiconductor, Electronics or other highly automated manufacturing
