- Identify and develop reliable suppliers and manufacturers for chemicals, industrial raw materials, and related products.
- Source materials based on customer enquiries and technical specifications.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Compare prices, product specifications, availability, packing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain an updated database of suppliers, products, grades, and commercial terms.
- Identify alternative suppliers to improve cost competitiveness and supply reliability.
- Negotiate competitive purchase prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
- Prepare comparative statements of supplier quotations.
- Ensure purchases are made at the most competitive prices without compromising quality or delivery commitments.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders after obtaining necessary approvals.
- Maintain proper documentation of purchase transactions.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers regarding order status and material availability.
- Follow up proactively to avoid delays in material procurement.




- Coordinate with transporters, warehouses, and logistics teams for timely material collection and delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding product quality complaints, shortages, damages, and replacements.
- Create and update Purchase Orders in the company's ERP system (Odoo).
- Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong supplier sourcing and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of purchase procedures and commercial documentation.
- Ability to evaluate quotations and prepare cost comparisons.
- Excellent communication and supplier relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email correspondence.
- Experience working with ERP systems; knowledge of Odoo will be an advantage.
- Robust organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and deadlines simultaneously.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to procurement.
