About the opportunity
TinyPal is looking to partner with experienced game design and development educators who can help children move beyond playing games to imagining, designing and building their own.
What you’ll do
- Deliver engaging, progressive lessons that introduce children to game concepts such as characters, rules, levels, mechanics, storytelling, design and playtesting.
- Guide children through hands-on projects in which they create their own playable games.
- Select development tools and platforms suited to children's ages and prior experience.
- Break down technical concepts into manageable steps and support children as they experiment, troubleshoot and iterate.
- Balance instruction with independent creation so children leave with tangible projects and a sense of accomplishment.
- Provide a explicit list of devices, software and other materials parents will need to arrange before the programme begins.
What we’re looking for
- Established experience teaching game design, game development, creative coding or interactive digital creation to children aged 6 and above.
- Demonstrated experience guiding children through completed projects, not just introducing coding concepts.
- Familiarity with age-appropriate tools and platforms for game creation.
- Experience delivering structured, multi-session programmes online.
- Ability to adapt instruction to different levels of technical confidence and prior experience.
- A child-centred approach that encourages creativity, experimentation and problem-solving.
In your application, please share
- A brief introduction to your relevant experience, qualifications and teaching background.
- Details of your existing programme, including age range, session duration, number of sessions and learning outcomes.
- The tools or platforms you teach with and examples of games children create through your programme.
- A complete list of materials and technical requirements parents would need to arrange, including laptop or computer specifications, software, licences or subscriptions, peripherals and any accounts that need to be created. Please distinguish free from paid tools and essential from optional items.
- Details of any prerequisite materials you will provide for the lessons, such as project templates, starter files, tutorials, design worksheets or access to learning platforms. Clearly distinguish these from items parents must arrange or purchase, and mention any associated costs.
- Your availability, session pricing and examples of completed student projects, sample lessons or programme outlines.
NB: TinyPal is interested in partnering with providers who already have an established, tested offering and can deliver it consistently across multiple children and families. Please share your existing programme wherever possible, rather than proposing only a general outline of what you could teach.
Please also indicate whether you can offer a short introductory or demonstration session, and whether you are open to a pilot engagement before expanding the programme.
Pay: From ₹2,000.00 per hour
