Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to manage mechanical maintenance, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and project-related activities at our chemical manufacturing facility.

The candidate should have practical knowledge of industrial equipment, preventive maintenance, piping systems, fabrication, and mechanical safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Handle maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, gearboxes, agitators, compressors, valves, and other mechanical equipment.
- Supervise mechanical installation, fabrication, piping, and equipment erection activities.
- Monitor the performance of mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and maintain equipment history records.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, technicians, and internal departments for maintenance and project execution.
- Identify mechanical problems, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure availability of critical mechanical spares and coordinate with the Purchase and Stores departments.




- Review mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, P&ID;, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards, PPE requirements, and work permit procedures.
- Maintain daily maintenance reports, breakdown records, and relevant documentation.
- Support equipment testing, commissioning, inspection, and plant improvement activities.

Required Technical Skills

- Knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, agitators, valves, and piping systems.
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Fabrication, welding, and equipment installation knowledge.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&ID.;
- Knowledge of industrial safety, LOTO, and work permit systems.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel and MS Word.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.

Candidate Requirements

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant industrial experience preferred.
- Experience in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, or Process Manufacturing Industry will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with hands-on maintenance and project execution experience will be preferred.
- Ability to handle technicians and contractors independently.
