Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Insurance Domain to lead business consulting, operational excellence, and transformation initiatives supporting Canadian and US insurance operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of North American insurance products, business processes, and operating models, along with experience in strategic consulting, process improvement, digital transformation, and automation.

The role involves partnering with senior stakeholders to identify business opportunities, improve customer experience, enhance operational efficiency, and implement technology-enabled transformation initiatives, including AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide domain expertise in Canadian and US insurance products, operations, market practices, and regulatory developments.
- Partner with senior business stakeholders to identify operational challenges and recommend strategic transformation opportunities.
- Analyse end-to-end insurance processes and customer journeys to improve productivity, service quality, turnaround time, and cost efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, digital workflows, data analytics, Generative AI,



and agentic AI.
- Lead transformation initiatives from opportunity assessment and business-case development through implementation and benefits realisation.
- Drive process reengineering, operational excellence, customer experience improvement, and operating-model transformation.
- Collaborate with business, operations, technology, data, risk, and compliance teams to deliver transformation programmes.
- Develop transformation roadmaps, strategic recommendations, and measurable business outcomes.
- Present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to senior leadership.
- Monitor transformation benefits and support continuous improvement across insurance operations.

Required Insurance Domain Expertise

Candidates must have strong experience in at least one of the following insurance domains:

- Individual Insurance
- Group Benefits

Preferred additional experience:

- Wealth and Asset Management
- Reinsurance

Experience supporting Canadian and/or US insurance operations is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- 12+ years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, covering consulting, operations, business transformation, or business leadership.




- Strong understanding of Canadian and/or US insurance products, value chains, operating models, and business practices.
- In-depth expertise in Individual Insurance or Group Advantages.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and translating complex business challenges into actionable strategies.
- Proven experience in process improvement, business transformation, operational excellence, or customer journey optimisation.
- Exposure to digital transformation, intelligent automation, data analytics, Generative AI, or AI-enabled business solutions.
- Strong strategic thinking, consulting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA or an equivalent advanced qualification is preferred.
