A. PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The DevOps Architect serves as the technical leader responsible for defining, developing, and

evolving Continuous Integration (CI) and DevOps capabilities that support clinical software

development teams. This role drives the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable,

reliable, and secure build, test,



and deployment infrastructure, enabling engineering teams to

deliver high-quality software efficiently and consistently.

B. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead CI architecture development for the clinical application teams

- Support the DevOps team through planning, backlog grooming, code reviews and

technical assistance

- Develop and evaluate CI improvements, evaluate concepts for future capabilities

- Investigate root causes of CI failures

C. QUALIFICATIONS

- Solid background with Python programming in a Linux environment

- Demonstrated experience with creating and managing Docker images

- Demonstrated experience with using Git and managing GitLab CI

- Demonstrated experience with configuration management

- Linux system administration experience (systemd, filesystem setup and network

configuration)

- Familiarity with using and integrating web services into the CI

- Familiarity with Perforce and SWARM is a plus

- Experience with Qt and QBS is a plus

- Willingness to support teams across time zones

This is a specialized individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise and

recognized leadership within specific disciplines. The principal engineer serves as a subject

matter expert, providing strategic guidance, solving complex technical challenges, and

influencing engineering direction. Success in this role requires solid analytical judgment,

the ability to evaluate complex and evolving information, and a proven track record of
