Job Title: Turning Setter cum Operator

Experience: 5–10 Years

Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

Job Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Job Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC turning machines and conventional lathes as required.
- Perform tool setting, workpiece loading, fixture setting and work offset adjustments.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform turning, facing, boring, grooving, threading and other machining operations.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, cutting speeds and feed rates.
- Set and adjust CNC programs and offsets according to component requirements.
- Inspect components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges and other measuring instruments.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.
- Monitor tool wear and make necessary tool and dimensional corrections.
- Troubleshoot machining problems and minimise rejection and machine downtime.
- Achieve daily production targets while maintaining product quality.
- Maintain machine cleanliness,



follow 5S practices and comply with safety procedures.
- Record production output, rejection details and machine-related issues.
- Coordinate with Quality and Production teams to resolve dimensional and machining issues.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in CNC turning machine setting and operation.
- Knowledge of FANUC or Siemens CNC controls.
- Understanding of G-codes, M-codes and CNC program editing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, machining parameters and tool offsets.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to perform independent setup and dimensional corrections.

Salary & Benefits

- Expected salary: ₹28,000–₹35,000 per month.
- Salary negotiable based on experience and technical skills.
- OT, shift allowance and other benefits as per company policy.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
