Job Summary:

We are looking for experienced Computational Life Sciences or Medicine Experts to work as POD Leads for an upcoming AI training and evaluation project. The selected candidates will lead a team of 5–10 technical trainers in developing and validating realistic, terminal-based scientific and engineering tasks.

The role involves ensuring scientific accuracy, reproducibility, technical quality, and adherence to data governance and biosafety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor a team of 5–10 technical trainers, allocate tasks, and monitor quality and productivity.
- Design complex scientific workflows involving terminal execution, data inspection, method selection, and analysis.
- Review biological and clinical datasets, computational pipelines, reference solutions, execution environments, and automated grading criteria.
- Validate scientific calculations, statistical methods, genome builds, coordinate conventions, normalization methods, and other computational parameters.
- Ensure reproducibility by maintaining consistent software dependencies, reference databases, and tool versions.
- Work with Linux environments, scientific computing tools, and containerized workflows.
- Ensure datasets are synthetic or de-identified public data and comply with data governance and biosafety requirements.

Required Qualifications:

- Ph.D., postdoctoral,



or equivalent research experience in life sciences, with demonstrated computational expertise.
- Strong scientific programming skills, primarily in Python.
- Previous experience as a POD Lead, Team Lead, or Technical Lead on computational projects.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Bioinformatics and Computational Genomics
- Systems Biology
- Computational Neuroscience
- Biostatistics
- Computational Drug Discovery
- Structural Biology
- Protein Engineering
- Strong familiarity with Linux/terminal environments, Docker, Conda, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and high-performance computing (HPC).

Preferred Skills:

Experience with one or more of the following tools and technologies is an advantage:

- Genomics and Transcriptomics: Nextflow, Snakemake, samtools, bcftools, GATK, BWA, STAR, Salmon, DESeq2, edgeR, Seurat, Scanpy, Biopython, Bioconductor.
- Drug Discovery and Structural Biology: RDKit, OpenMM, GROMACS, AutoDock Vina, PyMOL.
- Medical Imaging and Clinical Analytics: pydicom, nibabel, SimpleITK, MONAI, FSL, lifelines, statsmodels, FHIR formats.
- Experience evaluating AI coding or terminal agents, data governance/IRB processes, or AI benchmarks and evaluations is an added advantage.

Engagement Details:

- Three-week paid contract assignment with an immediate start.
- Full-time commitment of at least 40 hours per week.
- Availability for at least four hours of overlap with Pacific Standard Time (PST) is required.
- Compensation will be discussed with shortlisted candidates based on experience and project requirements.
