We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and experienced Shadow Teacher / Assistant Psychologist to provide one-to-one classroom support for an 8-year-old child with ADHD, autism spectrum characteristics, speech delay, and hyperactivity.

The candidate will work closely with the child, schoolteachers, parents, and therapists to support his learning, behaviour, communication, social interaction, and independence throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide one-to-one support to the child throughout school hours.
- Support classroom participation, academic activities, and following instructions.
- Implement positive behaviour-management strategies and help improve emotional regulation.
- Support speech, communication, and social interaction with teachers and classmates.
- Encourage waiting, turn-taking, sharing, flexibility, and following routines.
- Help manage impulsivity, hyperactivity, and attention difficulties using appropriate strategies.
- Encourage independence rather than overprompting or completing tasks for the child.
- Use visual cues, structured activities, and practical learning techniques where appropriate.
- Maintain daily observation and behaviour records, including triggers, progress, and strategies used.
- Coordinate regularly with parents, teachers, special educators,



and therapists.
- Ensure the child’s safety, dignity, and inclusion in all school activities.

Requirements

- Master’s degree in Psychology (MSc/MA Psychology).
- Previous experience working with children with ADHD, autism, developmental delays, or behavioural challenges is strongly preferred.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Robust communication, observation, and behaviour-management skills.
- Patient, calm, responsible, proactive, and child-centred.
- Able to work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and therapists.
- Experience as a shadow teacher, learning support assistant, special educator, or behaviour therapist is an advantage.

Working Hours

Full school day, approximately 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on school days.
