Job Summary

DC Books India Private Limited is looking for a creative and skilled Video Production Manager to lead video shooting, editing, and content production for our digital media platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in video production, storytelling, cinematography, and post-production, with a strong interest in books, literature, authors, and digital content creation.

The role will primarily focus on producing podcasts, author interviews, and engaging short-form videos for social media, along with creating short documentaries featuring authors, books, and literary stories.

Key Responsibilities1. Video Shooting and Production

- Plan, coordinate, and execute video shoots for podcasts, author interviews, reels, and other digital content.
- Handle camera operations, lighting, audio recording, framing, and overall production quality.
- Coordinate with authors, hosts, guests, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of shoots.
- Manage production schedules, equipment, locations, and other shoot-related requirements.

2. Video Editing and Post-Production

- Edit raw footage into high-quality, engaging, and visually appealing videos.
- Perform colour correction, audio enhancement, transitions, subtitles, motion graphics, and other post-production tasks as required.
- Create platform-specific versions of videos for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and other digital channels.
- Ensure consistency in visual quality, branding, storytelling, and delivery timelines.

Primary Content Production

- Podcasts: Shoot and edit podcast episodes, ensuring professional audio and video quality.
- Author Interviews: Produce engaging interviews with authors, including preparation, shooting, and final editing.
- Reels and Short-Form Videos: Create compelling, trend-aware short videos that promote books, authors, literary events, and reading culture.

4. Secondary Content Production

- Conceptualize and produce short-form documentaries about authors, books, literary works, and their backgrounds.
- Develop creative storytelling approaches to present literary content in an engaging and accessible format.
- Coordinate research, scripting, interviews, location shoots, and editing for documentary-style videos.

5. Content Planning and Coordination

- Work closely with the marketing, editorial, publishing, and social media teams to develop video content ideas.
- Convert creative briefs into effective video concepts and production plans.
- Maintain an organized library of footage, project files, and completed videos.
- Monitor digital video trends and recommend innovative content formats to improve audience engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Film Production, Visual Communication, Mass Communication, Multimedia, Media Studies,



or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in video shooting, editing, and digital content production.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent tools.
- Working knowledge of cameras, lighting equipment, microphones, and audio recording systems.
- Ability to create engaging short-form content, including Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, cinematography, composition, and editing techniques.
- Good communication, coordination, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong creative sense and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in podcast production, interview filming, or documentary-style video production.
- Experience working with authors, publishers, media organizations, or cultural and literary content.
- Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, and sound design.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous shooting and editing work.
