Junior site Engineer :

Roles and Responsibilities

- Site Supervision & Execution:
- Monitor daily construction activities on site to ensure work follows approved architectural and structural drawings.
- Assist in setting out works, checking levels, and verifying layouts, excavation, shuttering, and steel reinforcement (rebar) alignment before concrete pouring.
- Quality Control & Testing:
- Perform routine checks on construction materials (like sand, cement, aggregate, and steel) to verify they meet industry standards.
- Assist in conducting field tests (such as slump tests or cube testing) and monitor concrete curing processes.
- Material & Resource Management:
- Track daily material consumption, maintain stock accounts, and help estimate material requirements to prevent shortages or waste.
- Coordinate with storekeepers, vendors, and subcontractors under the guidance of senior engineers.




- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain daily site diaries, site order books, measurement books (MBs), and progress logs.
- Prepare abstract measurements for contractor billing and submit routine progress reports to senior engineers.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce site safety rules, monitor worker compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE), and report potential hazards immediately.
- Assist in managing first-aid response or accident reporting protocols if incidents occur.
