Senior Finance Controller / Manager – Cost Control, FP&A; & Business Finance

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Controller to lead financial controllership, cost optimization, financial planning and analysis (FP&A;), and business finance. The role will focus on strengthening financial controls, improving profitability, managing cash flow, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth and decision-making.

Candidates with experience in E-commerce, Retail, D2C, FMCG, Consumer Products, or Distribution will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Controllership & Reporting

- Manage end-to-end accounting, financial closing, and reporting.

- Review P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, MIS, provisions, and reconciliations.

- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with Ind AS and applicable accounting standards.

2. Cost Control & Profitability

- Drive cost optimization across procurement, imports, logistics, marketing, operations, and manpower.

- Monitor budgets, identify cost variances, and implement corrective measures.

- Analyse product, channel, and business-level profitability to improve margins.

- Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives and investments.

3. FP&A; and Business Finance

- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and rolling financial projections.

- Conduct Budget vs. Actual analysis and identify key business performance drivers.

- Develop financial models, scenario analysis, and business cases for management decisions.

- Track revenue, margins, operating expenses, and profitability.

- Partner with business teams to support pricing,



expansion, procurement, and investment decisions.

4. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management

- Manage cash flow forecasts, liquidity, collections, payables, and working capital.

- Improve cash conversion cycles and optimize fund utilization.

- Monitor inventory efficiency and working capital requirements.

5. Audit, Taxation & Compliance

- Manage statutory, internal, and tax audits.

- Ensure timely GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.

- Strengthen internal financial controls, governance, and audit readiness.

6. Process Improvement & Team Management

- Establish finance policies, SOPs, and robust internal controls.

- Drive automation and process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.

- Lead and mentor the finance team while ensuring solid financial discipline.

Required Skills

- Strong expertise in financial controllership, FP&A;, cost management, and business finance.

- Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and profitability analysis.

- Sound knowledge of Ind AS, taxation, audits, and statutory compliance.

- Strong understanding of working capital and cash flow management.

- Advanced MS Excel skills; exposure to Power BI is an advantage.

- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Tally.

- Strong analytical, commercial, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) – Qualified or Semi-Qualified.

- Experience: 8–10 years in Finance & Accounts, Financial Controllership, FP&A;, Cost Control, or Business Finance.

- Experience in E-commerce, Retail, D2C, FMCG, Consumer Products, or Distribution is preferred.
