We are looking for a Marketing Intern who enjoys exploring online communities, discovering interesting conversations, and engaging with people.

You’ll help Selfhost.dev reach developers by finding relevant discussions across Reddit, LinkedIn, X, and other online communities, then participating in those conversations with thoughtful, useful comments.

Your role will involve understanding what developers are looking for, identifying where Selfhost.dev can genuinely help, and contributing to discussions in a way that builds awareness and trust rather than simply promoting a product.

This is a hands-on opportunity to learn about community marketing, developer audiences, and how technology startups build relationships with potential users.

What you'll do

- Discover relevant conversations across Reddit, LinkedIn, X, developer forums, and other online communities.
- Find discussions about databases, cloud infrastructure, hosting, deployment, DevOps, and developer tools.
- Write and post helpful, relevant comments on discussions where Selfhost.dev can genuinely add value.
- Participate in conversations by answering questions, sharing useful resources, and introducing Selfhost.dev when relevant.
- Research the context of each discussion before responding to ensure comments are useful and appropriate.
- Maintain a tracker of relevant discussions, comments posted, responses received, and potential opportunities.
- Monitor replies and continue conversations where appropriate.
- Identify recurring developer problems, questions, and interests to share with the product and marketing teams.
- Experiment with different communities and approaches to discover where Selfhost.dev can contribute meaningfully.




- Help build awareness of Selfhost.dev through consistent and genuine participation in developer communities.

- Familiarity with Reddit communities, LinkedIn, X, Hacker News, GitHub, or developer forums.
- Basic knowledge of databases, cloud infrastructure, hosting, or software development.
- Experience with community management, social media, content marketing, or online engagement.
- Experience writing posts or participating in technical discussions.
- Familiarity with Google Sheets, Notion, or similar tools.
