Job Purpose

To assist in the day-to-day operations of the MMD Stores, ensuring the proper receipt, storage, maintenance, and issue of materials as per hospital requirements, while maintaining accurate inventory records and following established hospital procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive materials from vendors and verify them against purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
- Inspect materials for quantity, quality, damage, and expiry dates, wherever applicable.
- Arrange and store materials in designated locations with proper identification and labelling.
- Issue materials to departments against approved requisitions.
- Maintain accurate stock registers and update inventory transactions in the hospital's inventory software.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and report discrepancies to the Stores In-charge.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) methods wherever applicable.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor about shortages, fast-moving items, and near-expiry materials.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and systematic arrangement of the stores.
- Assist in stock reconciliation, documentation, and internal or external audits.




- Coordinate with the Purchase Department, Accounts Department, vendors, and user departments regarding material receipt and issue.
- Follow hospital policies, safety procedures, and inventory control practices.
- Perform other stores-related duties assigned by the reporting authority.

Educational Qualification

- Minimum: Any Degree.
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Stores Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 1 – 3 years of experience in stores, inventory, warehouse, or materials management.
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare organization will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

- Basic computer knowledge, particularly MS Excel and inventory software.
- Valuable numerical, documentation, and record-maintenance skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
- Integrity, discipline, and a responsible approach to material handling.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
