Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Fitter

Department: Production / Manufacturing / Maintenance

Job Summary

A Mechanical Assembly Fitter is responsible for assembling, fitting, installing, and maintaining mechanical components, machines, and equipment according to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble mechanical components, machines, equipment, and subassemblies as per engineering drawings.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and technical specifications.
- Perform fitting operations such as drilling, tapping, grinding, filing, and deburring.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and precision tools.
- Check dimensions, alignment, clearances, tolerances, and fitment of components.
- Install bearings, shafts, gears, couplings, fasteners, and other mechanical parts.
- Perform mechanical adjustments, troubleshooting, and basic repairs.
- Inspect assembled components to ensure quality and proper functioning.
- Follow safety procedures, housekeeping standards,



and company quality requirements.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to complete jobs on time.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of mechanical assembly and fitting techniques.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
- Experience using vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of mechanical tools, fasteners, bearings, shafts, and couplings.
- Positive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow safety instructions and work as part of a team.

Qualifications and Experience

- ITI in Fitter / Mechanical Trade or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Relevant experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial maintenance.

Pay: ₹9,900.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
