Overview

PENNEP is looking for a customer-focused and sales-oriented Optical Sales Executive to join our optical retail team in Jalandhar. The candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting suitable eyeglasses, frames, lenses, sunglasses, and other optical products while ensuring excellent customer service and achieving sales targets.

The ideal candidate should have experience in optical retail sales, good product knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers, understand their requirements, and provide personalized assistance in selecting optical products.
- Recommend suitable eyeglass frames, spectacle lenses, sunglasses, and other optical accessories based on customers' preferences, prescriptions, and budgets.
- Explain the features, benefits, and pricing of different lens types, including single-vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses.
- Assist customers with frame selection, fitting, sizing, and style recommendations.
- Understand customer prescriptions and coordinate with the optometrist whenever technical clarification is required.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Upsell and cross-sell suitable products, such as lens coatings, premium lenses, sunglasses, and accessories, based on customer needs.
- Handle customer queries, product demonstrations, billing coordination, and after-sales service.
- Follow up with customers regarding orders, deliveries, and pending purchases when required.




- Coordinate with the inventory team to check product availability and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Ensure proper product display, showroom presentation, and cleanliness.
- Maintain customer records, sales transactions, and order details accurately.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and coordinate resolutions with the relevant team.

Experience Requirements

- 2–3 years of experience in optical retail, eyewear showrooms, or a similar customer-facing sales role is preferred.
- Experience with optical brands, premium lenses, progressive lenses, and retail sales targets will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

- Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
- Good sales, negotiation, and product-presentation abilities.
- Ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.
- Target-oriented approach with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with billing or POS systems.
- Professional attitude, confidence, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates currently working in an optical showroom or eyewear retail store.
- Candidates with experience in customer consultation, optical product sales, and order management.
- Candidates residing in Jalandhar or nearby areas.

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
