1. Set up and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture aerospace components in line with engineering drawings, route cards, and job instructions.

2. Select and install suitable cutting tools, holders, jaws, and workholding fixtures for each operation.

3. Load programs and set machine offsets, tool wear values, work coordinates, and cutting parameters as required.

4. Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, surface finish symbols, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;) requirements.

5. Measure components using micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other inspection equipment.

6. Perform first-off and in-process inspections, record results, and adjust offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy.

7. Monitor machining cycles, tool condition, coolant levels, and machine performance; replace worn tools and report faults promptly.

8.



Follow approved CNC programs and setup sheets, and raise concerns before making changes to programs or process parameters.

9. Maintain component identification and traceability, and complete production, inspection, and tool-life records accurately.

Follow aerospace quality, safety, and housekeeping procedures, including handling nonconforming parts and maintaining a clean work area.
