Behemoth Legal (Advocates & Legal Consultants, Chennai) practises before the High Court of Madras and subordinate courts. We are expanding our banking and debt-recovery defence practice and are hiring an Advocate to represent borrowers, guarantors and small businesses against banks, NBFCs and digital lenders, particularly in matters of coercive recovery, recovery-agent harassment and wrongful enforcement action.

What you will handle:

- Legal notices and complaints against banks/NBFCs for recovery-agent harassment, in line with the RBI Fair Practices Code and outsourcing guidelines
- SARFAESI matters: objections to demand/possession notices, Section 17 applications before the DRT, and DRAT appeals
- Writ petitions before the Madras High Court against arbitrary bank action
- Debtor's insolvency petitions (Presidency Towns / Provincial Insolvency Acts)
- Loan settlement negotiations, OTS proposals and representations to the Banking Ombudsman / RBI
- Consumer complaints and cheque-dishonour (NI Act) defence where connected
- Client counselling, drafting and e-filing (Madras High Court,



City Civil Court, DRT)

Who we are looking for:

- Enrolled with the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry (mandatory)
- Keen interest in banking law and borrower-rights litigation
- Sound drafting in English; Tamil fluency for client interaction
- Willingness to learn court e-filing and manage matters independently over time
- Empathy with clients under financial stress
- Freshers are welcome to apply

What we offer:

- Salary: ₹12,500 per month
- Direct courtroom exposure before the Madras High Court and the DRT
- Mentorship under the Principal Advocate in a quick-growing practice with a steady matter flow
