Job Description: Project Consultant – AI Filmmaking Academy

About the Project

We are exploring the establishment of a professionally managed AI Filmmaking Academy in India, focused on practical training in AI-assisted filmmaking, cinematic storytelling and digital film production.

We are seeking an experienced professional to help conceptualise and plan the institution and prepare a comprehensive, implementation-ready Detailed Project Report (DPR).

The founder intends to remain in a supervisory role, with a skilled management team responsible for the academy's day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

The selected consultant will be responsible for developing a comprehensive project plan covering:

- Market Feasibility: Assess demand, target audiences, competing institutions and opportunities in AI filmmaking education.
- Business Planning: Recommend an appropriate business model, course offerings, fee structure and potential revenue streams.
- Infrastructure Planning: Identify space, equipment, software and technology requirements for establishing the academy.
- Academic Planning: Propose a practical curriculum covering AI filmmaking, storytelling, cinematography, AI video generation, editing and film production.
- Staffing Strategy: Recommend the organisational structure, key positions, faculty requirements and recruitment approach.
- Financial Planning: Develop estimates for initial investment, operating expenses, revenue, cash flow and break-even requirements.
- Marketing and Admissions: Recommend strategies for student recruitment, institutional partnerships and brand development.
- Operational Management:



Design a management structure that enables the founder to supervise the institution without involvement in daily operations.
- Implementation Roadmap: Prepare a phased plan for establishment, recruitment, launch and subsequent expansion.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in establishing, managing or expanding an academy, film school, animation institute, VFX training centre or media-education institution.
- Familiarity with AI filmmaking, generative AI, digital video production or emerging creative technologies.
- Experience in institutional planning, business development, curriculum design, faculty recruitment or financial modelling.
- Strong understanding of the operational and commercial aspects of running a training institution.
- Ability to translate a broad concept into a realistic, financially grounded and actionable project plan.

Professionals who have served as Academy Directors, Institutional Heads, Business Heads, Education Consultants or senior media-training professionals are particularly encouraged to apply.

This is an independent consultancy assignment, not a permanent employment position. Any subsequent engagement for implementation or management will be considered separately.
