Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Manage seismic attribute data, trace data (SEG-Y), navigation files, velocity files, horizon data and associated metadata.
- Support OpenWorks, Petrel reference projects and Studio repositories, including agreed project structures and data exchange.
- Inventory, organise, quality-check, document, preserve and transfer geophysical project data.
- Maintain lineage, limitations, version information, naming conventions and metadata required for future data reuse.
- Perform and validate conversions between seismic formats, including checks for headers, geometry, sampling and coordinate-reference information.
- Identify and control format-conversion risks, data loss, inconsistent naming and version-control issues.
- Use Python, Linux and Bash workflows to support repeatable conversion, validation and close-out tasks.
- Document scripts, libraries and repeatable workflows so delivery is not dependent on undocumented personal tools.




- Prepare project close-out registers, archival packages, quality reports and handover documentation.

- Seismic data lifecycle management and project close-out.
- SEG-Y trace, navigation, velocity, horizon and seismic-attribute data.
- OpenWorks, Petrel, Petrel reference projects and Studio.
- Seismic format conversion, metadata, lineage, naming and version control

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

- MSc in Geophysics or equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Geophysics or geophysical-data-management experience.Hands-on experience with OpenWorks, Petrel, Studio and SEG-Y data.Demonstrated experience managing seismic metadata, data exchange and preservation workflows.
