Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on PPC Engineer with 3 to 5 years of core experience in the renewable energy domain. You will develop, implement, test and fine-tune closed-loop control logic for utility-scale Solar, Wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), while meeting national and international grid code standards.

Key Responsibilities

Control Logic Development & PLC Programming

- Design, program and implement PLC-based control logic for Power Plant Controllers (PPC) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) handling inverters, BESS PCS, trackers and switchgear.
- Write clean, modular code using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram and Sequential Function Charts.

PID Tuning & Grid Parameter Regulation

- Configure and fine-tune PID controllers in the PLC for active power and ramp rate control, reactive power, voltage and power factor control, and frequency regulation with primary/secondary grid response.
- Ensure compliance with local and international grid codes (CEA, IEEE, IEC).

Protocols & Hardware Integration

- Implement and troubleshoot Modbus (RTU/TCP), IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850 and DNP3.
- Map I/O points and ensure smooth data exchange between field devices (inverters, MFM meters, relays, PCS), PLC, SCADA and SLDC/NRLDC interfaces.

Testing,



Validation & Commissioning (FAT / SAT)

- Execute internal and client Factory Acceptance Tests using hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or simulation kits before site deployment.
- Perform on-site commissioning, signal verification, loop testing and start-up for PPC and EMS control systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug control loop issues on site to minimize plant downtime.

Collaboration & Documentation

- Prepare and update Functional Design Specifications (FDS), control architecture diagrams, alarm lists and SAT reports.
- Work closely with the SCADA UI, backend (OPC UA/database) and field commissioning teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and control logic development for Solar PV, Wind, BESS or Hybrid power plants
- Proficiency in industrial PLC platforms such as Schneider, Siemens, Beckhoff, WAGO, Rockwell or equivalent
- Robust understanding of closed-loop control, PID tuning and ramp rate management
- Working knowledge of Modbus, IEC 104, DNP3 and OPC UA
- Sound knowledge of grid integration standards (CEA guidelines, IEEE 1547, IEC standards) and utility load dispatch requirements
- Familiarity with solar inverters (central and string), BESS PCS units, trackers, weather stations (WMS), transformers and HT switchgear
- Basic understanding of SCADA architecture, HMI graphics and database tag mapping

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
