Job Summary

Ultralink is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to lead quality assurance activities, ensure product reliability, and maintain high-quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in software testing, test planning, defect management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
- Lead QA activities for assigned projects and ensure timely delivery of quality releases.
- Review business requirements and technical specifications to identify gaps and potential risks.
- Perform API testing and database validation where required.
- Contribute to test automation initiatives and improve existing QA processes.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on testing methodologies and best practices.
- Prepare test reports, defect summaries, and quality metrics for management review.




- Ensure adherence to established quality standards, testing procedures, and release criteria.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect-tracking tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of test case design, defect lifecycle management, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman is preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Git.
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- Previous experience mentoring team members or leading QA initiatives.
