About Planet Escapes

Planet Escapes is a travel design studio in Ahmedabad that creates custom international holidays. We don’t sell fixed packages or group tours. Every itinerary is written by hand around the traveller’s tastes, food and pace, with care at every step. Our destinations include Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, the Maldives, Japan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Dubai, Turkey, South Korea and Europe.

We build our own technology. Behind the website at planetescapes.in is an in-house travel CRM built on Supabase. Our team uses it to run every trip, from the first enquiry to the final invoice.

The Role

You’ll work across both parts of the product:

- The website (planetescapes.in): a fast, design-led React site. It covers our destinations and journeys and has a trip-customisation wizard. SEO and performance matter a lot here.
- The Planet Escapes CRM: the system our travel consultants use every day. It handles leads, Trip Files, day-by-day itineraries, hotels, experiences, transfers, trains and flights. It also builds quotations and invoices as PDFs, and manages our destination and image libraries.

This role suits a fresher or early-career developer who wants real ownership. You’ll learn on a live product, work closely with our travel consultants and founders, and see what you build used the same week.

What You’ll Do

- Build and maintain user interfaces in React and TypeScript, with careful, responsive styling in Tailwind CSS.
- Work on our Supabase back end: PostgreSQL tables, migrations, Row Level Security (RLS) rules, database functions (RPCs) and storage.
- Write server-side logic as Supabase Edge Functions (Deno/TypeScript).
- Connect third-party services, such as photo libraries, email and AI tools, to our travel workflows.
- Turn travel rules into reliable software, such as pricing, passenger counts,



room setups and supplier costs.
- Generate polished quotation, itinerary and invoice documents that go straight to customers.
- Keep the website fast and search-friendly.
- Write tests (Vitest and Playwright) and take part in code reviews.
- Help with regular releases from staging to production, and with day-to-day maintenance.
- Write clear technical documentation as you build.

What We’re Looking For

- 0–1 year of experience as a full stack or web developer. Freshers with strong projects are welcome.
- Good knowledge of React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS, and an eye for detail. Good design is part of our brand.
- Familiarity with Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Row Level Security, Edge Functions, Storage). Projects, internships or personal work count.
- Basic SQL/PostgreSQL skills and an understanding of REST APIs.
- Comfort with Git and GitHub.
- A portfolio, GitHub profile or college/personal projects that show what you’ve built.
- Good problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn fast, and care about getting data exactly right.
- Transparent communication, and willingness to work on-site in Ahmedabad with a small, close team.

Good to Have

- Experience with Vite, Tailwind CSS, React Query or React Hook Form.
- Experience with Node.js or Deno on the server side.
- Experience generating PDFs, building SEO-friendly sites, or adding animation (Motion, GSAP).
- Experience using AI APIs (such as Gemini or Claude) in a project.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
