Aesthetic Therapist – Oedema and Lymphatic Drainage Specialist

1. Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Spa Therapist specialising in lymphatic drainage massage to join our medical services team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in manual lymphatic drainage techniques, wellness treatments, with a strong understanding of client safety, hygiene, and professional treatment protocols. The therapist should be able to be willing to be trained in prepping the client before medical and aesthetic procedures.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Lymphatic Drainage & Body Treatments

- Perform manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) massage using appropriate techniques and protocols.
- Understand the clinically indicated lymphatic drainage for oedema.
- Follow appropriate protocols for clients undergoing aesthetic or post-procedure treatments, subject to medical clearance where required.
- Monitor client comfort throughout each session and modify techniques according to individual needs.

B. Client Consultation & Care

- Conduct pre-treatment consultations and review relevant contraindications before commencing treatment.
- Explain treatment procedures, expected outcomes, aftercare instructions, and recommended session frequency.
- Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
- Provide a warm, courteous, and personalised client experience.
- Escalate medical concerns, unusual swelling, pain, redness,



or other unexpected symptoms to the supervising clinician.

C. Hygiene & Safety

- Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards in all treatment rooms.
- Sterilise or disinfect reusable equipment as appropriate and ensure fresh linens are used for every client.
- Follow infection prevention protocols and workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain treatment records, client consent forms, and aftercare documentation.
- Recognise contraindications to lymphatic drainage, including suspected blood clots, acute infections, and certain cardiac or renal conditions, and refer clients for medical assessment when necessary.

D. Clinic Operations & Coordination

- Coordinate appointments and treatment schedules with the front office team.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, products used, and client feedback.
- Ensure treatment rooms are adequately stocked and prepared before each session.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, aesthetic practitioners, and other wellness professionals.
- Support the clinic's service quality standards and client retention initiatives.

3. Qualifications & Experience

- Certification or diploma in Spa Therapy, Beauty Therapy, Lymphatic and Sports Massage Therapy, or a related field.




- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a spa, wellness centre, or aesthetic clinic preferred.
- Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, the lymphatic system, and treatment contraindications.
- Basic computer skills for appointment scheduling and treatment documentation.

- Client satisfaction and treatment feedback.
- Adherence to treatment protocols and hygiene standards.
- Accuracy and completeness of treatment documentation.
- Appointment punctuality and treatment room readiness.
- Client retention and repeat bookings.
- Compliance with contraindication screening and escalation procedures.

6. Working Conditions

- Full-time position at a spa, wellness centre, or aesthetic clinic.
- Must be comfortable performing hands-on body treatments in a professional clinical or setting.
- May be required to work weekends, holidays, or extended hours based on appointment schedules.
- Must maintain professional conduct, appropriate draping, and client confidentiality at all times.

Pay: From ₹18,000.00 per month
