Academic Counsellor, IIT MADRAS PRAVARTAK AI Programs
Inkel City, Malappuram | Full-time | ₹30,000 + uncapped incentives

We are hiring four Academic Counsellors for a portfolio of AI certification programs delivered in association with IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation, the Technology Innovation Hub of IIT Madras.

Why this is not a typical counselling job

You will advise working engineers, team leads, and business owners on programs built around the 2026 agentic AI stack: Claude Code, MCP Servers, RAG systems, and autonomous AI agents. Your prospects are technically literate and will ask technical questions. That is why we are hiring B.Tech graduates rather than generalist.

Your job is to understand where a professional is stuck in their career, judge honestly whether the program solves their problem, and make the case clearly. This is consultative counselling, not high-pressure selling.

Responsibilities

- Own a pipeline of inbound enquiries across calls, WhatsApp, and video consultations
- Run structured discovery before pitching, so every recommendation fits the prospect's actual situation
- Explain curriculum, certification, and career outcomes with technical accuracy
- Handle fee and objection conversations with confidence, including EMI and financing options
- Follow up methodically across multi-week decision cycles without dropping leads
- Maintain accurate CRM records and submit daily activity reports
- Report market objections and competitor intelligence back to the program team

Requirements

- A degree or qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or any other technical field.
- Comfortable using computers and navigating digital tools, platforms, and software.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.

Hands-on usage is preferred.
- Willingness to learn Edapt’s AI programs and understand the curriculum before counselling prospects.
- Clear spoken Malayalam and English language.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in simple language.
- Comfortable working with sales targets, lead follow-ups, and CRM tools.
- Patient, disciplined, and honest when advising prospective learners.

What we offer

- ₹30,000 + Incentives
- Full structured onboarding plus weekly one-to-one call reviews with the Chief Product Manager
- Direct exposure to an IIT Madras Pravartak partnership and to the applied AI ecosystem
