Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Finishing Engineer to oversee finishing activities across our residential construction projects in North Goa. The candidate will be responsible for supervising on-site finishing works, ensuring quality workmanship, coordinating with contractors and vendors, monitoring progress, and ensuring that all work meets approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in premium residential, luxury villa, hospitality, or high-end apartment projects, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to maintain high finishing standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Finishing Work Execution

- Supervise and monitor all finishing activities, including plastering, putty, painting, tiling, flooring, stonework, waterproofing, and ceiling works.
- Oversee installation of doors, windows, frames, hardware, and other architectural finishing elements.
- Supervise bathroom and kitchen finishing, including tile layouts, sanitary fixtures, countertops, and accessories.
- Ensure execution is carried out as per approved architectural drawings, specifications, and design details.
- Coordinate finishing works for internal areas, external facades, balconies, terraces, and common areas.

2. Quality Control and Inspection

- Ensure high standards of workmanship across all finishing activities.
- Inspect surfaces, levels, alignments, joints, tile patterns, paint finishes, and other visible finishes.
- Identify defects, deviations, and workmanship issues and ensure timely rectification.
- Conduct stage-wise quality inspections before approving subsequent activities.
- Maintain quality checklists and inspection records for all finishing works.




- Ensure mock-ups and sample finishes are approved before large-scale execution.

3. Site Coordination and Execution

- Coordinate with project managers, architects, interior designers, MEP engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure finishing works are properly sequenced and coordinated with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other services.
- Resolve site-level coordination issues to avoid rework and delays.
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure contractors follow approved drawings and work schedules.
- Coordinate the installation of premium materials, fixtures, fittings, and architectural elements.

4. Planning and Progress Monitoring

- Prepare daily and weekly finishing work plans in coordination with the project team.
- Monitor contractor productivity and ensure activities are completed within the planned timelines.
- Track material requirements and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability.
- Identify potential delays and take corrective action to maintain project schedules.
- Maintain daily progress reports and communicate execution status to the reporting manager.

5. Contractor and Material Management

- Supervise finishing contractors, subcontractors, and site labour.
- Verify material quality and ensure materials comply with approved specifications.
- Coordinate material inspections and ensure proper storage and handling of finishing materials.
- Monitor material consumption and minimise wastage and unnecessary rework.
- Verify completed quantities and support measurement and billing verification for finishing contractors.

6. Snagging, Rectification and Handover

- Conduct pre-handover inspections and prepare detailed snag lists.
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely closure of all identified defects.
- Verify the final quality of flooring, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, sanitary fixtures, electrical fittings, and other finishing elements.
- Ensure completed areas are clean, defect-free, and ready for client inspection.
- Maintain finishing records, inspection reports,



and handover documentation.
- Support project handover by ensuring all finishing works meet the required quality standards.

7. Safety and Site Discipline

- Ensure contractors and workers follow site safety procedures.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and protection of completed finishes.
- Prevent damage to finished areas during subsequent construction activities.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and application of finishing materials.

Qualifications and Experience

- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
- 5–8 years of experience in finishing works for residential, hospitality, luxury villa, or high-end apartment projects.
- Robust hands-on experience in flooring, tiling, plastering, painting, waterproofing, false ceilings, stonework, and architectural finishes.
- Experience coordinating finishing activities with MEP and interior works.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, construction details, and finishing specifications.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel for drawing coordination, reporting, and progress tracking.
- Experience in quality inspections, snagging, defect rectification, and project handover.
