1. Job Summary

The Cleaning Staff member is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and a pleasant workplace throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, lobby, public areas, and staff areas. The employee must ensure that all assigned areas meet the hotel's cleanliness and hygiene standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, lobby, reception, and other assigned areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize toilets, washbasins, mirrors, and other bathroom fixtures.
- Change bed linen, pillow covers, towels, and other room supplies as required.
- Replenish toiletries, tissues, and other housekeeping amenities.
- Collect and dispose of waste properly, following the hotel's waste management procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas, including entrances, staircases, lifts, and dining areas, as assigned.
- Use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely and correctly.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, and safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Immediately report lost and found items to the supervisor and follow hotel procedures.
- Respect guest privacy and hotel property at all times.
- Follow hygiene, health, safety, and infection-control procedures.
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks within the scheduled time.




- Cooperate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth daily operations.

3. Qualifications and Requirements

- Previous hotel cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and hygiene practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Good personal hygiene, punctuality, honesty, and discipline.
- Physically fit to perform routine cleaning duties.
- Polite and respectful behaviour towards guests and colleagues.
- Willingness to work in shifts, on weekends, and on public holidays when required.

4. Skills Required

5. Performance Standards

The employee will be evaluated based on:

- Cleanliness and hygiene of assigned areas.

- Compliance with hotel standards and safety procedures.
- Guest feedback and supervisor assessments.
- Attendance, punctuality, discipline, and teamwork.

6. General Duties

The employee must follow all hotel policies, instructions from the supervisor or management, and applicable workplace safety requirements. Additional reasonable duties related to hotel cleanliness and housekeeping may be assigned as needed.
