Essential Qualifications

The candidate should possess qualifications and experience as prescribed by:

- UGC Regulations,

- Government of Maharashtra norms, and

- KKSU rules applicable from time to time.

Minimum Eligibility

- A Ph.D. degree in Yoga / Sanskrit / Allied Discipline.

- Professor / Associate Professor with total teaching/research/administrative experience as prescribed under UGC norms.

- Research publications in peer-reviewed / UGC-listed journals.

- Administrative experience in higher education institutions preferred.

- Knowledge of Sanskrit, Yoga Education, and Indian Knowledge Systems will be desirable.

Job Responsibilities / Job Description

The Principal shall:

- Provide academic and administrative leadership to the college.

- Promote excellence in Yoga education, research, and institutional development.

- Ensure implementation of UGC, Government, and KKSU regulations.

- Guide NAAC accreditation, academic planning, admissions, examinations, and faculty development.

- Promote research, publications, extension activities,



and Indian Knowledge Systems.

- Maintain discipline, governance, and effective institutional administration.

- Encourage innovation, community outreach, and interdisciplinary academic activities.

- Strengthen national and international collaborations in Yoga education and research.

- Coordinate with statutory authorities, university bodies, and management.
