Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Data Analyst with 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, data management, financial reporting, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing financial and business data, preparing management reports, developing dashboards, monitoring financial performance, and providing actionable insights to support business decisions.

The candidate should have strong expertise in Advanced Excel, financial modelling, reporting, and data visualization tools, along with a good understanding of financial statements, revenue analysis, cost management, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, consolidate, validate, and analyse financial data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare and maintain regular financial reports, MIS reports, and management dashboards.
- Analyse revenue, expenses, costs, profit margins, cash flow, and overall business performance.
- Prepare and analyse Profit & Loss (P&L;) statements, budget-versus-actual reports, and financial performance summaries.
- Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies, unusual trends, cost fluctuations, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop financial models, forecasting reports, and performance trackers to support business planning.
- Create and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
- Use Advanced Excel functions, Pivot Tables, lookup formulas,



and Power Query to process and analyse large datasets.
- Use SQL to extract, filter, reconcile, and analyse financial data from databases, where applicable.
- Monitor key financial and operational KPIs and provide insights to management.
- Coordinate with Finance, Accounts, Sales, Operations, and other departments to collect data and resolve discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and improve the efficiency of financial reporting processes.
- Maintain proper documentation of financial data, reporting methodologies, and analytical findings.
- Ensure timely delivery of accurate reports while maintaining confidentiality of financial and business information.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Candidates with B.Com, M.Com, MBA (Finance) will be preferred.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Financial Data Analysis, Financial Reporting, MIS, Business Analytics, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF formulas, charts, and data reconciliation.
- Good understanding of financial statements, P&L; analysis, budgeting, forecasting, revenue, expenses, and profitability.




- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis will be an advantage.
- Experience in financial modelling, variance analysis, KPI tracking, and management reporting.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies in financial data.
- Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet reporting deadlines.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in the B2B e-commerce, distribution, or technology-driven business environment.
- Exposure to high-volume transactional data, sales reporting, revenue tracking, and cost analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP, accounting, or financial management systems.
- Experience in report automation and process improvement initiatives.

- Accuracy and reliability of financial reports and dashboards.
- Timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Accuracy of financial data reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Effectiveness of financial performance tracking and insights.
- Reduction in manual reporting efforts through automation.
- Timely identification and resolution of data discrepancies.
- Quality of analytical reports and support provided to management.
