Job Summary

Automech is looking for two Quality Inspectors for its Nashik machining plant. Freshers with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering are also welcome to apply.

The candidates will be responsible for first-piece inspection, in-process inspection, dimensional checking, PDI documentation, tool-life monitoring, and maintaining daily quality records. They will work closely with the Quality Engineer and Production team to ensure product quality and compliance with inspection requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform first-piece inspection after machine setting changes, tool changes, and new setups, as applicable.

· Conduct in-process inspection of machined components as per the Control Plan and defined inspection frequency.

· Measure components using vernier callipers, micrometres, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.

· Fill and maintain PDI reports, inspection reports, and daily production quality records.

· Monitor tool life as per defined limits and maintain tool-life records.





· Verify gauge calibration status before use and report any issues to the Quality Engineer.

· Identify and segregate rejected or non-conforming components to prevent mixing with OK parts.

· Immediately report dimensional deviations and other quality problems to the Quality Engineer and Production team.

· Support the Quality Engineer in maintaining IATF documentation, inspection records, and audit evidence.

· Maintain shift-wise inspection records and provide proper handover of pending quality issues to the next shift.

Required Skills & Eligibility

· Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

· Freshers and candidates with 1–3 years of experience may apply.

· Basic understanding of engineering drawings and dimensional measurements.

· Willingness to learn inspection techniques and use measuring instruments.

· Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain quality records.

· Attention to detail, discipline, and a responsible attitude.

· Positive communication and coordination skills.

Shift Requirements

· Must be willing to work in rotational shifts as per plant requirements.

· Shift duty is mandatory.

· Must be able to maintain proper records and hand over pending quality issues to the next shift.
