Job Description: NOC Engineer – SMS Firewall1. Role OverviewWe are looking for a NOC Engineer to monitor, manage, and optimize SMS Firewall operations. The role involves real-time monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the security and efficiency of SMS traffic.2. Key Responsibilities

- 24x7 Monitoring
- Monitor SMS Firewall systems and traffic in real-time
- Track KPIs such as delivery rate, blocking rate, latency, and throughput
- Incident Management
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to SMS traffic, routing, and delivery
- Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for incidents and outages
- Fraud & Security Monitoring
- Detect and analyze OTT bypass, grey routes, and spam traffic
- Implement and monitor blocking rules
- Firewall Rule Management
- Configure and optimize SMS firewall rules
- Validate rules in test environments before production deployment
- Reporting & Analysis
- Generate daily/weekly reports on traffic trends
- Analyze blocked vs allowed traffic
- Share insights with internal teams and customers
- Coordination
- Work with operators, vendors, and internal teams (Tech, IT, Operations)
- Support testing activities (UAT, POC, penetration testing)

3. Technical Skills

- Knowledge of SMS protocols:



SMPP, SS7, SIGTRAN
- Understanding of A2P/P2P SMS traffic flows
- Experience with SMS Firewall systems (e.g., AdaptiveMobile, Anam, Mobileum, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of IP networking (TCP/IP, routing)
- Familiarity with CDR/EDR analysis and log troubleshooting
- SQL/Excel for data analysis (preferred)

4. Required Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in Telecom / Messaging domain
- Experience in SMS Firewall / NOC operations preferred

5. Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Valuable communication (written & verbal)
- Ability to work in 24x7 shift environment
- Quick response and decision-making during incidents

6. Key KPIs

- Incident resolution time
- False blocking rate
- Traffic delivery success rate
- SLA adherence

7. Preferred Qualifications

- B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics, Telecom, or IT
- Certification in telecom/networking (optional)

Pay: ₹318,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per year
