Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, skilled, and enthusiastic Western Music Teacher to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Western music, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make music enjoyable and accessible for young learners.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct engaging, interactive online Western music classes for children.
- Teach Western music fundamentals, including rhythm, melody, pitch, notation, and basic music theory.
- Provide practical instruction in vocals and/or musical instruments based on expertise.
- Develop structured lesson plans for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced learners.
- Adapt teaching techniques to different age groups and learning abilities.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for performances, assessments, and musical presentations.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging,



and child-friendly learning environment.
- Communicate student progress and learning goals effectively.

Requirements

- Strong knowledge of Western music theory and practical application.
- Proficiency in Western vocals and/or instruments such as piano, keyboard, guitar, or ukulele.
- Previous music teaching experience, preferably with children.
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to conduct interactive online classes using Zoom or similar platforms.
- Reliable internet connection and suitable audio/video equipment.
- Patience, creativity, professionalism, and enthusiasm for teaching.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certification or formal training in Western music, such as Trinity College London, ABRSM, Rockschool, or equivalent.
- Experience teaching international students.
- Familiarity with structured music curricula and graded examinations.
- Ability to teach multiple instruments will be an advantage.
