Job Summary

We are looking for a professional, guest-focused, and enthusiastic Restaurant Captain to join our team at Burma Burma Restaurant & Tea Room. The candidate will be responsible for supervising restaurant service, coordinating with the kitchen team, guiding stewards, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests, manage seating arrangements, and ensure a warm hospitality experience.
- Supervise stewards and ensure smooth day-to-day restaurant service operations.
- Take guest orders accurately and provide recommendations on menu items.
- Have a good understanding of the menu, ingredients, allergens, and food preparation methods.
- Ensure food and beverages are served accurately, promptly, and according to restaurant standards.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely order preparation and service.
- Monitor table arrangements, service stations, cleanliness, and overall restaurant presentation.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and take appropriate corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, grooming, and service standards.
- Brief the service team before shifts and allocate duties according to operational requirements.
- Support the Restaurant Manager in daily operations, staff training, and service quality monitoring.
- Assist with billing, cash handling, and point-of-sale (POS) operations when required.




- Monitor guest satisfaction and maintain high standards of service throughout the guest experience.

Skills & Qualifications

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Positive knowledge of fine-dining service standards and restaurant operations.
- Customer service and complaint-handling skills.
- Knowledge of menu descriptions, ingredients, and food allergies.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant billing procedures.
- Professional grooming, positive attitude, and attention to detail.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant restaurant service experience will be an advantage.

Experience Requirements

- 2–4 years of experience in restaurant operations or food and beverage service.
- Previous experience as a Captain or Senior Steward in a premium restaurant or fine-dining establishment is preferred.
