Job Summary :

Sri Balaji Nirman is looking for a qualified and experienced QC Engineer – Civil for its project at IIT Bhubaneswar. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in civil construction quality control as well as site execution, with a strong understanding of construction materials, quality standards, inspection procedures, and project specifications.

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

- Monitor and ensure the quality of all civil construction activities as per approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable IS codes.
- Conduct quality inspections for RCC works, reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, masonry, plastering, and other civil works.
- Coordinate with site execution teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the construction process.
- Inspect construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, sand, and concrete to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate concrete sampling, slump tests, cube tests, and other required field and laboratory tests.
- Verify reinforcement, shuttering, and embedded items before concrete pouring.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, material test reports, quality checklists, and other QA/QC documentation.
- Ensure compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures.




- Identify quality deviations and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with the execution team.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, consultants, and clients for inspections and quality approvals.
- Monitor ongoing site execution activities and ensure that construction work is completed as per approved drawings and quality standards.
- Maintain records of material approvals, test results, site inspections, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Ensure compliance with project quality requirements and applicable safety procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- B.Tech in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Relevant experience in both Civil Quality Control (QC) and Site Execution is required.
- Strong knowledge of RCC works, reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, and other civil construction activities.
- Knowledge of construction materials testing, concrete quality checks, and applicable IS codes.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience in preparing quality reports, inspection checklists, and QA/QC documentation.
- Valuable coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently at the project site and coordinate effectively with execution teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile :

- Candidates with hands-on experience in both QC and civil site execution will be given preference.
- Candidates with experience in building construction projects are preferred.
- Candidates must be willing to work at IIT Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
- Immediate joiners or candidates who can join at short notice are preferred.
