General Objective

The Overseas MBBS Head leads the international medical education division, driving student recruitment, and overseeing end-to-end admission and visa operations for students pursuing MBBS degrees abroad. This role combines strategic business development, team leadership, counselor management, and strict adherence to domestic and international medical education guidelines (e.g., NMC FMGL regulations, WDOMS, and ECFMG accreditation standards).

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Development

- Formulate and execute student recruitment strategies to expand market share across target regions for overseas medical admissions (e.g., Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Nepal).
- Plan and execute educational seminars, spot admission drives, webinars, and outreach programs with senior secondary schools and NEET coaching institutes.
- Analyze market trends, regional student preferences, fee structures, and competitive landscapes to build compelling counseling packages and promotional toolkits.

University Alliances & Institutional Relations

- Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic tie-ups with accredited foreign medical universities and official university representatives.
- Conduct due diligence on partner institutions regarding clinical exposure, faculty qualifications, medium of instruction, hostel facilities, and safety standards.

Operations & Admission Pipeline Management

- Oversee end-to-end admission processing, including candidate profile evaluation, academic document verification, apostille/attestation, eligibility certification, and letter of invitation issuance.
- Manage the student visa application process, ensuring high approval rates through strict document audits, mock interview preparation, and embassy coordination.
- Direct pre-departure briefings, group travel arrangements, airport drop-offs/transfers, and post-arrival hostel onboarding in host countries.

Team Leadership & Counseling Supervision

- Lead, train, and mentor a team of overseas education counselors, tele-callers,



and operational executives.
- Establish individual and team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for lead response times, conversion rates, and confirmed enrollments.
- Step in to handle high-value or escalated student and parent consultations, addressing complex queries regarding licensing examinations (NEXT, USMLE, PLAB), living conditions, and financial planning.

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations set by bodies such as the National Medical Commission (NMC), Foreign Medical Graduate Licensure (FMGL) rules, and WHO/WDOMS recognitions.
- Ensure all recruitment practices and promotional materials comply with ethical standards, embassy requirements, and university policies.
- Oversee CRM workflow and database integrity, producing weekly and monthly performance reports on conversion metrics, operational bottlenecks, and projected revenue.

Required skills and qualifications

- Education - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience - 5+ years in overseas education consulting, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role specifically handling MBBS/Medical Study Abroad recruitment.
- Domain Expertise - Deep familiarity with foreign medical universities, NMC FMGL guidelines, NEXT/USMLE career pathways, eligibility criteria, and student visa processes.
- Core Competencies - Sales leadership, pipeline conversion, institutional negotiation, public speaking, crisis management, and cross-cultural communication.
- Languages - Fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi. Working knowledge of Russian or other regional languages is a strong plus.
