SRE Engineer TFB

The System Reliability Engineer (SRE) improves and protects the software and systems behind all of T-Mobiles IT services, including management of scalability, availability, latency, performance, security, and capacity, and delivering of software faster, better, and cheaper. From designing & maintaining CICD Pipelines to building the next generation of T-Mobile applications on cloud native platforms, the SREs enable great customer experience and product innovation by continuous improvement of operational support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technology and System:

- Demonstrates working knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps tools for CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and secure software delivery across non-production and production environments.
- Works with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift) to support deployment, scaling, administration, and troubleshooting of containerized applications.
- Performs workplace management, automated server provisioning (VMs), and Infrastructure as Code implementations using Terraform.
- Supports and executes software deployments across non-production and production environments while ensuring release quality, stability, and reliability.
- Creates and maintains observability dashboards and monitoring solutions to monitor application and infrastructure health and improve service reliability.
- Supports cloud platform administration activities in AWS/Azure environments, including compute, storage, networking, security, and operational support.
- Participate in troubleshooting, Incident Management, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)



activities to ensure timely resolution of production and non-production issues.
- Identifies opportunities for automation and contributes to initiatives that reduce operational toil and improve engineering productivity.
- Utilizes AI-powered tools to improve productivity, accelerate troubleshooting, enhance documentation, and support software delivery activities.
- Demonstrates understanding of cloud and hybrid networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, certificates, connectivity, and traffic management.
- Supports Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes while adhering to operational and compliance standards.

MINIMUM REQUIRED:

- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Operations, Platform Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience in one or more programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, and Shell scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD and release automation tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging platforms such as Splunk, Splunk Observability, Grafana, AppDynamics, or equivalent.
- Experience working in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
- Experience with cloud migration, cloud-native architectures, and microservices-based applications.
- Experience with Agile project management, documentation, and ITSM tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.

EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree in Technical Discipline or related field; Equivalent Experience Considered
