Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Analyst - Product Owner to join our team.

As a Business Analyst - Product Owner, you will be responsible for understanding business needs, gathering requirements, and translating them into actionable product features and user stories. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including product managers, development teams, and customers, to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the business objectives.

Responsibilities

1. Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, product managers, and development teams to gather and document business requirements.
2. Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and user needs to identify gaps, opportunities, and potential solutions.
3. Collaborate with product managers to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
4. Elicit and document detailed requirements through user stories, use cases, process flows, wireframes, and other appropriate artifacts.
5. Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development.
6. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
7. Provide clear and concise direction to development teams, answering questions and clarifying requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
8. Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate and ensure that delivered features meet the specified requirements.
9. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that align with user needs and business objectives.
10. Monitor market trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to identify areas of improvement and potential new features.
11. Define and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and effectiveness of product features.

Conduct regular meetings and presentations with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, gather feedback, and address concerns.
13. Act as a product evangelist, promoting the product internally and externally and facilitating user training and adoption.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
2. 4-6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role in software development projects.
3. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex concepts into clear and actionable requirements.
5. Proficient in gathering and documenting business requirements using techniques such as user stories, use cases, process flows, and wireframes.
6. Experience working with development teams and a good understanding of software engineering principles.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
8. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
9. Familiarity with project management tools and software development tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) is a plus.
10. Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies and tools.
11. Experience in working with customer-facing applications or digital products is preferred.
12. Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align business needs with technical solutions.
