About the Role

Talemexa is seeking an experienced and motivated Android Developer to build, enhance, and maintain the Talemexa Android application for candidates and recruiters. In this role, you will develop modern Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, integrate backend services, implement push notifications, and ensure a smooth and reliable user experience.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of professional Android development experience, strong knowledge of Kotlin, familiarity with the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architecture, and practical experience integrating REST APIs. You should also understand application testing, version control, debugging, and performance optimization.

You will collaborate with designers, backend developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams to deliver mobile features that meet functional requirements and provide an intuitive experience for users.

Key Responsibilities

- Android Application Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain the Talemexa Android application using Kotlin and contemporary Android development practices.
- User Interface Development: Build responsive, accessible, and visually consistent interfaces using Jetpack Compose,



following established design guidelines and usability principles.
- Application Architecture: Implement maintainable and scalable application architecture using MVVM and appropriate Android development patterns.
- API Integration: Integrate REST APIs and backend services to support authentication, candidate profiles, recruiter functionality, and other application features.
- Push Notifications: Implement and maintain push notifications to deliver relevant updates, alerts, and communications to candidates and recruiters.
- Google Play Releases: Prepare application builds, manage version updates, resolve release-related issues, and publish updates through the Google Play Console.
- Bug Fixing and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve application crashes, functional defects, and compatibility issues to maintain application stability.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve application responsiveness, memory usage, startup time, and overall performance across supported Android devices.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Write and maintain unit tests and UI tests to validate application functionality and reduce the risk of defects.
- Version Control: Use Git for source code management, collaborate through code reviews, and follow established branching and development workflows.
- User Experience Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate design concepts into functional interfaces and improve the overall user experience.
- Documentation and Maintenance: Document technical implementations, maintain code quality,



and contribute to ongoing improvements in the Android development process.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of professional Android application development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and familiarity with the Android SDK.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android development practices.
- Good understanding of MVVM architecture and application design principles.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and handling JSON data.
- Familiarity with Git, debugging tools, and software testing methodologies.
- Understanding of Android application performance optimization and crash analysis.
- Experience with Google Play publishing and application release management is an advantage.
- Previously published Android applications are a plus.
