Role Description The Estimation Engineer is a full-time, remote office role based in Trivandrum, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project cost estimates for thermal insulation and passive fire protection works. Daily tasks include reviewing project drawings and specifications, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), analyzing material and labor requirements, and coordinating with project, procurement, and engineering teams to validate cost assumptions. The role involves obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations, supporting bid preparation and tender submissions, and updating cost databases and estimation templates.



The Estimation Engineer will also participate in technical and commercial discussions, assist in value engineering, and provide ongoing cost support during project execution to ensure alignment with budgets. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess solid project estimation and BOQ preparation skills, including experience with quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.
• Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering or related disciplines, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and construction specifications.
• Candidates should possess effective negotiation and communication skills to interact with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess research and analytical skills to gather market price data, benchmark costs, and validate technical and commercial information.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in insulation, fire protection, or industrial construction projects is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and estimation or costing software; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, ability to work to deadlines, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary, multicultural environment and comply with safety and quality standards.
